The recent Palisades Fire,
which set ablaze the beautiful Pacific Palisades area, rekindles that dry, bitter flame of worry about wildfire preparedness in California. It affected rapid fire spread under extremely dry and windy conditions. The fire endangered homes and wildlife and harmed environmental health.
Firefighters heroically battled the raging inferno through the use of advanced aerial firefighting as well as ground crews in containing its rapid expansion. The sacrifice by these brave intrepid firefighters still saw the fire consume hundreds of acres, leaving behind a wasteland and displacing communities.
